Liberty Man Arrested for Stealing from Employer

A Liberty man was arrested by Quincy Police Tuesday for stealing from his employer.

Quincy Police were contacted by an employee with Michelmann Steel Construction Company that the firm’s front office manager was stealing from the company.

An investigation confirmed that 55 year old John Esselman had allegedly stolen at least $40,000 from the company over the last several years.

Esselman was arrested for theft over $10,000 and forgery.

He is in the Adams County Jail, with bond to be determined.
