Four area counties reported updated COVID-19 numbers Friday.

The Lewis County Health Department reported the fifth death of a Lewis County resident, an individual in their 90s, from coronavirus disease.

Lewis County also reported 15 new COVID cases Friday, bringing the total cases to 110. 21 are active, 11 of which were in a congregate setting. There have been 84 recoveries.

In Pike County, Illinois, health department officials reported eleven new COVID cases Friday, including six females in their 20s to 80s and five males in the 20s to 60s.

There have been 96 confirmed cases in Pike County, with 36 active, one hospitalized, 69 recoveries and one death.

Hancock County reported four new coronavirus cases Friday – three females from age 10 to 90s and one male in his 20s to 30s.

Two are connected to other positive cases. All are recovering at home.

The Hancock County total is 174, with 23 active cases, 148 recoveries and three deaths.

And, the Ralls County Health Department reported five new COVID cases from Wednesday to Friday, bringing their total to 145, with 15 active, two hospitalized and 130 recovered.
