There are plenty of beautiful places right here in the Tri-States to get the perfect family photo backdrop. But, if you're looking for a one-of-0a-kind backdrop I have found the perfect location. Great Falls Waterfall is located on Shoal Creek in Joplin, Missouri the 12 foot drop down and 163-feet long will give you the perfect photo opportunity.

How gorgeous is this place? You would never think that a waterfall like this would be in Missouri, but we are pretty darn lucky to be so close to something so beautiful. I mean, you think waterfall, and the first thing that comes to mind is Niagra Falls, not Joplin, Missouri.

The waterfall is surrounded by a park you can make a camping weekend out of it, bring the RV and just relax and explore this magnificent place. Looks like I will be taking the family here sometime, maybe not now in the winter, but aI would love to see this in person sometime.
