It was another stormy night in southern Illinois as videos show a monster wedge tornado that was confirmed as an EF-3 in strength hitting the Lake of Egypt area of the state.

The National Weather Service shared details of this huge twister that struck the Lake of Egypt area in southern Illinois Sunday night just after 6:38pm.

Another video was shared by Fox 32 in Chicago, Illinois of this Sunday night tornado.

The National Weather Service said one home took a direct hit as the twister removed the roof and collapsed the walls. One person reportedly had bones broken by this tornado with peak winds of 150 mph which places it firmly in the EF-3 category.
