A Keokuk man was arrested on burglary and theft charges in Hancock County Monday.

According to Nauvoo Police Chief Mike Boley, his department launched an investigation into the theft of two motor vehicles early Saturday and Sunday mornings in Nauvoo.

The investigation resulted in the arrest Monday of 33 year old Abre Kay of Keokuk for two counts of burglary, unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and criminal damage to property.

Both the stolen vehicles were recovered.

Kay is in the Hancock County Jail on $50,000 bond.
