Colin Kaepernick should want to sign with Kansas City, and the Chiefs should sign him, here is why I think that...

The National Football League has done a complete 180 degree turn on the Black Lives Matter movement and supporting Colin Kaepernick. For years since Colin Kaepernick first took a knee during the National Anthem to protest police brutality in the United States, the NFL has remained tight lipped on the accusations of black listing Kap and not supporting the peaceful protests. That all changed when NFL Commisioner Roger Goodell said quote "We, the National Football League, believe Black Lives Matter" and more recently said he would welcome Kap back into the NFL.

So now that the NFL is open to bringing Kap back to the league, the question is where/who will sign Kap? I think the BEST place for Colin Kaepernick is with the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. Here are my reasons why...

Kap is a MASSIVE celebrity at this point, he needs to be on a team that has an established QB where there will be ZERO questions about a QB controversy or who is starting. Kap's best days are most likely not in front of him, he can still be a productive good quality QB, and maybe even a starter again, but in order for him to get a fair chance to relearn to play QB he needs a system that will support him, and there is no better situation then KC. It would be a disaster for him in Chicago, Washington, or Jacksonville, where as soon as those teams starting QBs start playing bad (which they will) the media from all over the world will clamor for Kap to play. That wont happen in KC ever, because he would be playing behind the BEST QB in football with Mahomes. No one in there right mind would pressure KC to play Kap, but Kap instead could learn, grow, and even get some playing time in blowout wins/trick play situations. Kap could spend years backing up Mahomes, or do what Teddy Bridgewater did in New Orleans, learn for a year or two from a great QB and brilliant head coach, and then maybe get a chance to start for a couple years somewhere else.

There are only a few other places that make sense for Kap in my opinion, because they have to have the established QB and great/good coach and organization. Those other teams would be Seattle, New Orleans, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Green Bay. Now if you want to know some of the other teams I see for Kaepernick tune into "On The Mark" on KHMO this Saturday at 9:05 am, and follow me on Twitter and Instagram @MarkHespen.
