KWCH is reporting that many Kansas residents reported items falling from shelves. Volcano Discovery says that this was a shallow quake with a depth of just 3.1 miles which was why this quake was felt stronger than others.

The USGS says that 108 have reported feeling it with reports from as far away as the Wichita area. The yellow squares on the map are where residents reported a strong shaking.

You might recall that there were several earthquakes in weird places in Kansas just 7 days ago. Add this 4.0 to those as earthquakes continue to happen in non-typical places.
