If there's one positive of living in the city, it's the fact that you can normally go outside without having to worry about being chased by a bull. The key word is "normally", but that doesn't apply to one small Illinois town where a mad bull has gone rogue and is on the loose and wanted by the law.

The village of Barrington Hills, Illinois is a nice place. Even though it's relatively close to Chicago, it still has kind of a farm feel. Perhaps that's what attracted this bull to call it his home in the first place? Asking for a friend.

The village of Barrington Hills just shared this update on a bull who got loose and has now been spotted which is how the pictures happened.

The offer the advice of not approaching the bull even though he "may seem to be friendly". Anyone who doesn't know that petting a bull is dangerous should be allowed to in my opinion. It would improve the median IQ of Illinois, but that's a theory for a different day.

As you can see from the map, this is a heavily-wooded area which would provide this bull plenty of places to hide out.

My favorite part of the Barrington Hills, Illinois Facebook post was this:

WILL THE BULL MAKE A GUEST APPEARANCE AT YOUR FALL FESTIVAL?
Probably not.

That is classic. Whoever is managing the Village of Barrington Hills Facebook page should get a pat on the back and a big raise I think. Now, let's hope this big, bad bull gets found and rescued with no people, vehicles and bulls harmed.
