This new data appears to have originated from The Office of the Comptroller of Currency based on a report by AS.com. It involves current and future bank closures by one of the most prominent chains in America.

The bank in question is Bank of America. Another report by AS.com says that the reason for the bank branch closures is the reduced need for in-person banking.

What branches of Bank of America are closing and when?

55 total Bank of America branches are scheduled to close including the location at 1301 Jeffco Boulevard in Arnold, Missouri which the report says will close on March 5, 2024.

Other Bank of America branches that are on the closing list include many in California, Georgia and Massachusetts just to name a few. These new scheduled closures that will take place over the next few weeks follows 100 closures last year for Bank of America.

Will there be any more Bank of America closures in Missouri or Illinois?

There is no definitive answer yet if these closures that have been announced are the full list or just the beginning for one of America's most famous banking places.
