Festival of Lights in Quincy is Set to Open Thanksgiving Night
The Festival of Lights is back and ready for people to come to enjoy the light displays this holiday season.
Even with all the challenges this year (they and stolen tools and lights), the Festival of Lights is set to open on Thanksgiving Night in Moorman Park. Workers and volunteers have been setting up the massive light displays for weeks and will soon be ready to open the gates for your family to see. Every year the display adds something new to keep the magic of the lights growing each year, and this year it looks like we will see more trees in the park decorated with lights.
Once again, we will be teaming up with State Farm Agent - Derek Zahm, to help collect toys for the upcoming Toys for Tots of West Central Illinois. Make plans to come through the Festival of Lights on December 6, donate a brand-new unwrapped toy, and get into the Festival of Lights at a discounted price. We have done this for the past four years and have collected so many toys for those in need in Adams County.
Stay up-to-date on everything Festival of Lights on their Facebook page, and if you can please donate so we can continue this fun, family Quincy Tradition. The holiday light display runs from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day.
