SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - The Illinois House debated public gun possession for seven hours yesterday before passing a comprehensive package outlining the way guns could be carried in the state. But the vote doesn't mean concealed-carry is approved. The vote was on one of a dozen amendments added to a proposed law that a federal court says Illinois must adopt by June.
