Authorities in Aurora say a 14-year-old boy was behind a weekend fire that caused $48,000 in damage to a dozen vehicles in a gated parking lot.

The Police Department in the city west of Chicago says the boy was charged with two felony counts of arson. He was arrested at his home Sunday night and is being held in the Kane County Youth Home in St. Charles.

Police say they've identified a second juvenile suspect they expect will be charged.

Saturday's fire damaged nine sedans, two SUVs and a van. No one was injured.

Police say the privately owned lot appeared to be used by someone buying and selling used vehicles.
