(HANNIBAL)—Rates are on the way up for Hannibal Board of Public Works utility customers following last night’s (TH) meeting.  Residential customers will see a three percent rate hike in electric rates. All customers will see a ten percent increase in water rates and an eight percent hike in sewer rates.  The rate hikes are effective July 1st. BPW officials say the hikes are to offset costs of new regulations from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Environmental Protection Agency.
