HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Teachers and other staff in the Hannibal School District will get their first base salary increase in three years when they sign their contracts for next year, following action by the Board of Education Wednesday.
The board voted to add $500 to the base salary of certificated staff, including teachers and building principals, for the 2012-13 school year. That translates to a roughly 1.6 percent raise.
Support staff, who typically are paid hourly, will also get a 1.6 percent raise. Administrators will get a $500 bump in their salaries.
The district froze salaries two years ago.
