Citing limited flight schedules, restrictions on numbers of people gathered, social distancing and memorial schedules, The Great River Honor Flight Board of Directors announced they will not schedule any flights for the remainder of 2020.

They say instead they will put all their energy into preparing for the 2021 season and a hopeful return to normal operations.

There had been six missions planned for this year, with the next trip being number 58.

Since its first flight in April of 2010, over 1,800 local veterans have taken the free one day trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honoring their service and sacrifice.
