If you need a place to go for Thanksgiving dinner, or you’d like to help make someone else’s holiday better, we have some suggestions.

In Quincy, the Salvation Army serves it annual free Thanksgiving dinner at the Kroc Center at 405 Vermont St. from 11 a.m. till 12:30 p.m., with turkey and all the trimmings.

If you would like to volunteer or would like to donate a dessert, call the Kroc Center at 217-231-5626.

In Hannibal, American Legion Post 55 hosts a full Thanksgiving dinner Thursday, which is also open to the public. Last year, the legion served 200 meals in house, about 100 carryout meals and delivered over 375 meals to homes in the area.

They could also use your help if you’d like to volunteer.

And, in Louisiana, The Community of Faith Thanksgiving Dinner will be served from noon to 2 p.m. in the Centenary United Methodist Church annex at 621 South Carolina in Louisiana.

They expect to serve about 400.
