Four people are dead and two others are injured after one of the most violent days of the year in St. Louis.

Police do not believe the shootings are related.

The first happened Thursday afternoon when two men wearing ski masks targeted a car on the city's north side. Instead, they hit innocent bystanders, killing a man in his 50s and injuring two others.

A man's body was found in a burning car around 6:30 p.m.

About an hour later, a 42-year-old woman was driving along Interstate 70 when another car pulled up next to her and someone in that car began shooting. The woman died at a hospital.

The body of a young man was found around 9:30 p.m. in a vacant lot. He had been shot.
