The 7th Annual Fishing for Freedom Fundraiser is returning to the Red Dog Saloon in Meyer, Illinois! According to the Red Dog Saloon's Facebook page the event is scheduled to return on Saturday, September 18th, it is all happening at the Red Dog Saloon in little Meyer, Illinois, the Red Dog is located at 2646 E. 45th St. in Meyer, just about 25 mins north of Quincy.

Kathie Palmer who runs the Red Dog Saloon, spoke to me about the event and told me how special this fundraiser is, it is all to support Fishing for Freedom, and there is going to be a bunch of family friendly entertainment. The event starts early, and at 11am food gets going from Grunewald Fish Shack, Drake's, and Butch's Pizza Station, there will be plenty of drinks being served at the Red Dog Saloon, and they do encourage having a designated driver.

There will be live music from Tim Hart from 1pm to 5pm, Kid's games and a bounce house from 1pm to 2pm, Sand Volleyball all day long, and finally there will be a big concert in the evening with Captain Geech & The Shrimp Shack Shooters playing from 5pm to 9pm.

If you have any questions about this event check out their Facebook page for more information, and you can always reach out to Kathie Palmer at the Red Dog Saloon as well. We here at Townsquare Media are proud to help promote this even that raises money for our veterans.
