Fisherman’s Body Recovered on Mississippi

Searchers have located the body of a missing Ursa fisherman. Quincy and Adams County Volunteer Emergency Corps searchers found the body of 77-year-old Ronald Harness of Ursa Sunday morning on the Mississippi River.

Harness was last seen Tuesday when he told friends he was going fishing. A search started when he did not return. His boat and dog were quickly located in the Meyer area. The Adams County Coroner will be conducting an autopsy.

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is handling the investigation.
