Fires in Canton Deemed Suspicious

(Canton, Mo)--Two fires in Canton just blocks apart are deemed to be of suspicious origin. 

WGEM News is reporting crews from four departments were called to a fire that broke out in the 400 Block of Lewis Street around 7:45 p.m. Friday.  Three buildings were fully involved upon firefighters arrival.  No injuries were reported.

Earlier in the evening, Canton firefighters battled a blaze at a vacant house in the 700 block of Lewis Street.  Authorities suspect the cause of that fire is arson.
