Fairs, Festivals Galore Continue Throughout the Area
A trio of area fairs and festivals continue Saturday.
In Hannibal, the Bar-B-Q and Country Music Festival enters its second day. Gates open at noon, with music starting at 1. Featured artists include The American Standard Band, Liz Bentley, the Well Hungarians, Sam Williams, and country superstar Clint Black. The BBQ festival runs through Sunday.
The Pike County Fair wraps up Saturday in Bowling Green, with a horseshoe tournament, cornhole tournament, garden tractor, field tractor and pedal tractor pulls in the afternoon and a Jesse Vaughn concert and a pro tractor pull tonight.
The Adams County Fair continues with a full day of activities, highlighted by country music star Josh Turner on stage at 8 o’clock.

And, this is opening day for the Marion County Fair in Palmyra, with the parade at 10 a.m., the KC barbeque on the courthouse lawn and the car show at noon. The junior miss and Marion County Fair Queen pageants also take place, with the Tate Shade Memorial Bull Bash rounding out the evening at 7.
