Friends and co-workers gathered Tuesday to observe a milestone in the career of KHMO's General Manager.

It was February 17, 1969 that a young Hannibal native named Ed Foxall got out of the service and came to work as an advertising salesman at KHMO. Ed has been GM since the 1980s.

What was supposed to be a Talk Back program with Ed's friend Teresa Hayes of Willow Care turned into a surprise observance (at least to Ed) of his 45th anniversary with the station.

Among those on hand to take note of the occasion were United Way of the Mark Twain Area's Lou Lemen, Leaps of Love's Patty Light, and Hannibal Mayor Roy Hark, who presented Ed with the Key to the City.

Checking in by phone were former Bick Broadcasting President Bud Janes, Gary Harpole of Harpole's Heartland Lodge and longtime Hannibal businessman Jerry Atkins.
