(UNDATED)--Canada's Embridge pipeline company is going to go ahead with its plan to build a 36-inch pipeline that will cross eleven Missouri counties. It will follow an existing line built in the 1960’s from Flanagan, Illinois--near Chicago--to Quincy and across Missouri to Bates County, then across southeast Kansas to Cushing, Oklahoma. That pipeline carries crude oil. The line eventually links up with a line to Houston, Texas. It's known as the Flanagan South project and will cost 2.8-billion dollars to construct.
