City Council Votes to Give Land to Quincy University

The Quincy City Council Tuesday night decided to return nearly three acres of land back to Quincy University.

The land is the unused portion of the Quincy Fire Department’s training facility on North 18^thStreet.

QU has a pond on the land for class study and the school wants to enhance its soccer field.

The agreement between the city and the university says that QU will mow the property around the training center for the next ten years.
