Carter Pleads Guilty to 2nd Degree Murder
(Quincy)--The man accused in the murder of a Quincy resident pleads guilty in Adams County Court.
Vincent Carter entered a guilty plea today to a charge of second degree murder of Terry Williams. Police apprehended Carter January 4 after he allegedly shot Williams January 3 during an altercation at 219 S. 11th Street in Quincy. Williams died a short time later at Blessing Hospital.
Carter’s guilty plea to 2nd Degree Murder was entered in exchange for dropping charges of 1st Degree Murder and Felony Use of a Firearm. Carter has a sentencing hearing scheduled November 25.
