Canton Man Charged with Assault and Armed Criminal Action

(WAYLAND)—A Canton man is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action following a fire and a stabbing incident at Goldie’s Sawmill south of Wayland.

Clark County Sheriff’s deputies say 34-year-old Caleb Goldie is held in the Clark County Detention Center on 75-thousand dollars cash only bond.

The charges follow a stabbing incident at the scene of a fire at the sawmill. Investigators from the Missouri Fire Marshall’s office are looking for the cause of the fire.
