(Bowling Green, Mo)—Quick action by the night custodian and quick response by the Bowling Green Fire Department results in only minor damage at Bowling Green High School Friday night.

The custodian discovered a small fire in a storage closet of the wood shop around 10 p.m.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, keeping damage to a minimum.

Superintendent Darin Powell said the cause is undetermined, but not believed to be suspicious in nature. No disruption of classes is expected when school resumes Monday.
