Bond Set for Quincy Man Accused of Stealing from Employer
A Quincy man accused of stealing from his employer made his first court appearance Thursday.
29 year old Joseph Scoggins is charged with one count of theft over $100,000.
Scoggins is alleged to have stolen over $100,000 from home décor wholesaler Melrose International, where he was a marketing manager. The theft allegedly took place over a two year period beginning in October of 2017.
Judge Debra Wellborn set bond for Scoggins at $25,000.
Scoggins is back in court Monday for a preliminary status hearing.
