Bloomington Teens Charged in Beating Death
Three Bloomington teenagers have been charged with murder in the beating death of a homeless man.
According to WJBC radio, Willie Chambers and Anthony Davis-Dickson, who are both 18, and 19-year-old Tory Washington were arraigned Thursday.
They are charged in the July 3 death of 56-year-old Ronald D. Smith.
Chambers, Davis-Dickson and Washington have not yet entered pleas. They are being represented by the McLean County public defender's office but a call there late Thursday afternoon by The Associated Press was not answered.
Police say Smith was found injured on June 2 in a local park following the beating. He died from complications involving a wound suffered in that attack.
