Experts Claim Illinois is a Top State for Working Dads

The experts at WalletHub released a new list called the Best & Worst States for Working Dads in 2024, and they rank Illinois as the 9th best state for working dads! Illinois ranks ahead of states like Missouri which ranks 35th, Tennessee which ranks 34th, California which ranks 32nd, and even New York which ranks 17th.
In the article, WalletHub says "In order to determine the best states for men who play a dual role of parent and provider, WalletHub compared the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia across 21 key indicators of friendliness toward working fathers. Our data set ranges from the average length of the work day for men to child care costs to the share of men in good or better health." Did they get it right?
I think so, Illinois is a state with a lot of issues, but it have a lot for dads to do with their kids, and Illinois has many good companies that dads to work for. I have to be honest I was surprised to see Missouri so far down on the list and to see New Jersey that high on the list.
