BBB Advises Caution in Dealing with Quincy-Based Basketball Pgm

The Better Business Bureau is advising caution when doing business with a Quincy based youth basketball business.

Joel Box Evolution Basketball is a youth basketball training and select traveling team program, founded by former basketball player Joel Box and based in Quincy.

BBB officials say that federal court records show that Box filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2019.

Several area families allege that they gave Box hundreds of dollars for their child to play on a select team and/or participate in a camp directed by Box.

The families say that, in most cases, the camps did not take place, the traveling teams never played and the money the families paid was never refunded.

The Better Business Bureau has given Joel Box Evolution Basketball an F rating due to several unanswered customer complaints.
