Alford Plea Entered in Lewis County Cattle Carcass Case
A Lewis County man charged with illegally dumping cattle carcasses enters an Alford plea in Lewis County Court. Kirby Clark entered the plea, meaning that, while not pleading guilty, he acknowledges that the prosecution has enough evidence to convict him.
Clark is alleged to have dumped the carcasses of 32 cattle at various locations on his farm.
Officially, Clark entered the plea to violating provisions regarding disposal of dead animals. He gets two years unsupervised court probation, and agrees to law enforcement on his property to make sure he is complying with the law.
