Advanced Marijuana Growing Operation Raided in Quincy

Quincy Police report two arrests following use of a search warrant at 1310 North 8th at 9:34 Monday evening.

Upon entry to the house… authorities located two individuals in the residence and an extensive hydroponic marijuana growing operation in the basement. Over 30 marijuana plants were seized. Authorities say the operation included its own plumbing… duct work and heating and air conditioning system along with a wide variety of grow chemicals and fertilizer. 32 year old Daniel Baird of Quincy was arrested on charges of unlawful production of marijuana… possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also arrested was 32 year old Kristi Evans of Quincy was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Quincy Police say Evans was on parole following at 2014 meth conviction. Adams County Sheriff’s deputies and West Central Illinois Task Force agents assisted.
