According to a Facebook event page hosted by Quincy's Dick Brothers Brewery and The District,  the traditional Christkindl Market is making its return this holiday season on the second weekend of November, the 11th through the 13th. The traditional German marketplace is a great place to shop local and find unique gifts for the holiday season, on the event page they say...

"Friday enjoy a special preview party with live entertainment and cash bar - the cost is $10 - from 5 to 8 p.m. The party is sponsored by Jan Smith with Happel Realtors. Saturday (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) admission is $3 for adults, free for children 12 and under. Get ready for the season of giving and shop one-of-a-kind vendors in a festive holiday atmosphere!"

The Ratskeller, which is the new bar in the basement of the Dick Brothers Brewery will be open all weekend long serving up traditional German beverages, and traditional food will be available for purchase as well. I personally love going to the Christkindl Market at Dick Brothers Brewery here in Quincy because it reminds me of the Christmas market that I would go to every year in Chicago with my friends and family that is filled with gifts, good food, drinks, and a ton of holiday spirit.
