A Missouri Man is living Proof that a Beer is better than a Phone
A Missouri man went viral for holding a beer and not a cellphone and in doing so he proved to us as a nation why we need to all be holding beers and not cellphones during life's biggest moments.
Let it be known that I am a diehard Miller Lite fan and I rarely like to give shine to other beer companies but this story is too cool for me to not share it just because it involves Michelob Ultra.
A moment went viral of a man, who we now know is from Missouri, at last weekend's PGA Championship, it went viral because, in a sea of people holding their phones to capture a picture of the GOAT Tiger Woods, he was just calmly holding his beer. If you want to see the video click here!
Well, of course, Michelob Ultra (the beer the guy was holding) saw this as a marketing opportunity and jumped on it, according to an article from kmov.com, Michelob Ultra has signed the fan to a deal, in the article they say...
"Mark Radetic was following Tiger Woods when the photo was snapped. His 15 minutes of fame is really paying off!...“They said they want to do an ad campaign around it. Ultra has offered to give me as they said copious amounts of Ultra.” Mark now lives in the Kansas City area but grew up here in St. Louis. He has the Budweiser Clydesdales on the wall and he’s a happy man."
How cool is that?!? Read more about this story and check out the full article by clicking here!
I will just say that it's kinda depressing that a guy can go viral simply because he is NOT using his phone, but I love this story and I hope it inspires more people to put their phones down and pick up a beer when you are out enjoying life!
