One suspect is in custody and another is being sought in connection with a burglary investigation in Monroe County.

In a Facebook post from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies report that the investigation led officers to a rural Monroe County residence Friday where Jeremy Pipes was taken into custody.

A second suspect, 42 year old Shawn Reese of Moberly, is believed to have fled the scene. A search of the property resulted in the recovery of multiple items of stolen property.

Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Talley Kendrick has charged both Pipes and Reese with burglary. Pipes is being held on $30,000 bond.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating Reese. According to Monroe County Chief Deputy Joe Colston, Reese may be driving a stolen 2005 Ford Expedition with Missouri license CN8W5L.
