I will admit that I'm not a big fan of walking. But, I am a big fan of cookies. That's why I'm excited about the "Walk Of 10,000 Cookies" event at Union United Methodist Church 1101 State Street in Quincy on December 1st from 7am till noon. If the thought of browsing a bazillion (slight exaggeration) cookies all dressed up in a holiday display sounds good to you, better make plans to be there.

You can purchase a cookie package for yourself or even have some delivered to someone by carolers that night. You can also enjoy hot chocolate in St. Nick's Cafe or make toys with the kids in St. Nick's Workshop. The young ones will probably also insist on decorating a few cookies for themselves, too.

There will be door prizes and also breakfast served from 7am till 11am featuring silver dollar pancakes, sausage in a blanket with syrup, or biscuits and gravy. Price for breakfast is $6.50 for adults and $4 for kids. Profits from this event will benefit local missions. For more info, be sure to visit their Facebook page.
