Two Wisconsin Drivers Caught Speeding on I-72

A speed check by Illinois State Troopers results in the arrest of two Wisconsin residents Friday.

The State Police reports about 3:45 p.m. Friday, two vehicles traveling together on Interstate 72 north of Pittsfield were observed traveling at 109 miles per hour in a 70 mile per hour zone.

The vehicles were stopped, and both drivers, 26 year old Eric Hughes and 42 year old Tawana Brown, both of Milwaukee, were cited for speeding.

Hughes was also arrested for driving with a suspended license. Brown was cited for driving with a revoked license.
