It's natural to think of Missouri when you talk about tigers thanks to the university in Columbia. However, did you know there's also a national tiger sanctuary in the Show Me State? There is and I have videos to prove it.

This is Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary. It's one of the places where neglected big cats go to get the care they need. The official YouTube channel for the sanctuary explains their mission:

Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary is a Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS) Verified 501(c)3 non profit big cat rescue and educational facility that provides permanent lifelong care for abused, neglected or unwanted big cats.

Tigers can really kick back here. Don't believe me? Just take a look at Thor.

Crown Ridge is more than just a place for tigers.

One thing I found interesting about Crown Ridge is that it's gotten the attention of the Tiger King Joe Exotic. He's none too happy about them apparently.

It's official. The Tiger King does not approve. Does this mean Carole Baskin likes Crown Ridge then? Inquiring minds want to know.

If you want to visit Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary, it's located south of St. Louis and is an easy day trip. They offer tours and adopt-a-tiger programs.
