I'm not normally a fan of copying other people's ideas, but I'll make an exception in this case. There's a very popular food truck festival happening in Missouri this weekend and we completely need to do this in the Quincy/Hannibal area.

The Missouri Food Truck Fest is happening for the 8th year in a row at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds near Springfield this Saturday, September 17. It's an all-day event beginning at 11am and continuing until 7pm. The best part is there's no charge for parking or admission. Just go partake of food trucks all day because you can.

The official Facebook page for this event just dropped a video yesterday talking what's in store for everyone who attends.

Is it just me or would this be a most awesome event for our part of America? Find a big parking lot. Invite a ton of food trucks from all over the Midwest and let everyone partake for free. Someone needs to make this happen now.

Would you be all in for a free food truck event? Do you have a food truck or plan to start one and think this is a great idea? This is me working on finding a time and a place so we can make a food truck festival day a reality as soon as possible. I didn't know I needed this until now. What about you? Be sure to check out this weekend's Missouri Food Truck Fest on Facebook to see how it's done.
