I would say that this is a good reminder to lock your car doors in Missouri and Illinois, but I'm not sure that would matter much as a new report says incidents in both states are exploding and especially in Illinois.

Before I found the statistics, I had a perception of where I thought you'd be most likely to have your vehicle stolen in Missouri. I was very wrong and there's a good chance that the city in the Show Me State you think would have the highest percentage of vehicle thefts is not where you think, too.

It's good to be famous. I've heard that said many times. I've also heard it said that there is no such thing as bad publicity. That being said, I'm pretty sure that Missouri is not happy about the fact that it's becoming quite notorious for stealing cars. Lock those doors and hide your keys.

I saw someone mention that it's completely illegal to ride in the back of a truck bed if you are in Illinois. That's technically not accurate as there are some exceptions, but they are very specific.

You could have given me 100 guesses and I never would have been able to name the most stolen vehicle in Missouri. By far it's an old truck that is most often lifted by auto thieves.

I was once told to dance like nobody's watching. The only problem is I can't dance. That didn't stop one truck driver in Illinois who was recently spotted busting a move and there's video to prove it.

Some people believe in miracles while others don't. No matter which side you find yourself on, I believe you'll have to admit that it's remarkable that a train in Missouri slammed into a tractor-trailer yet there were no injuries reported.
