The state fire marshal has been called in to find the cause of a blaze that damaged three buildings Wednesday afternoon in downtown New London.

Last night a residential structure fire near Coatsburg injured three firefighters when a portion of the structure collapsed. One firefighter was treated and released from Blessing Hospital. The remaining two were admitted and are in good condition.

Missouri counties will be allowed to approve ordinances enacting burn bans when the state fire marshal determines doing so would be appropriate.
