A 70 year Hannibal tradition is renewed Tuesday. The 70th annual Mark Twain Marching Band Festival begins at 3 p.m. with marching bands from 30 area high schools making their way down Broadway.
The 67th annual Mark Twain Marching Band Festival - better known as Band Day - took place Tuesday in Hannibal. 29 high school and middle school bands from around the area took part in a parade down Broadway, and several bands also performed at Porter Stadium during a field show on Tuesday evening.
