A tough year just got even tougher for many medical professionals in Missouri as two hospital locations are closing resulting in 154 people losing their jobs.

I must admit that these confirmed reports surprised me. It's one of the more common food chain brands in Wisconsin, but the company is reportedly planning to close 35 locations this year.

It's easy to take for granted that popular restaurant chains will be around forever. However, times are tough in the food business these days and there are multiple confirmed reports that one of Missouri's most popular chains really will be closing 35 restaurants this year.

It has not been a great year for restaurants and it doesn't appear to be improving yet. There are multiple reports that a very popular food chain with 31 Illinois locations has plans to close 35 restaurants in 2024.

There have been a rash of bank closings over the past few weeks and that now includes a national chain with many locations in Illinois that has closed dozens of branches elsewhere.
