Salvation Army Feeds Area Flood Fighters, Needs Donations
An organization that is in the business of helping others is asking for your help in the coming days.
The Salvation Army is serving those fighting the flood in Quincy and the surrounding area.
The Army’s Emergency Disaster Service Team is providing breakfast and supper to volunteers, serving 300 meals through its mobile feeding unit between now and Monday.
As a result of the extra effort, the Salvation Army is asking community members and businesses for donations.
Individuals who would like to make monetary donations can drop them off at the Kroc Center in Quincy or the Family Store in Hannibal, or you can text DONATEQUINCY or DONATEHANNIBAL to 41444.
Businesses who would like to donate meals or money can call the Salvation Army at 217-231-5639.
