Quincy Police Make Meth Arrest

(Quincy, Ill)—Quincy Police say a man goes to the Adams County Jail with numerous additions to his rap sheet.  Officers arriving at 1405 North 6^th Street just after 9 a.m. Saturday arrest 29 year-old James M. Altgilbers on an Adams County warrant for aggravated assault and criminal damage.  Evidence at the scene led officers to believe Altgilbers was also running an active meth lab in the apartment.  Officers obtained a search warrant and seized methamphetamine and meth-making materials and waste.  Altgilbers is arrested for Unlawful Participation in Meth Production and other meth charges.  The West Central Illinois Task Force and Illinois State Police Meth Response Team assisted Quincy Police with the investigation.
