Quincy Pedestrian Cited in Crash

(Quincy) – Quincy Police respond to a report of a traffic crash involving a scooter and a pedestrian on South 6th between Washington and Jefferson at 10:41 p.m. Friday.
An investigation revealed that Roman Melton of Quincy was southbound on his scooter on 6th Street. Melton swerved to miss a group of individuals who were walking northbound in the middle of 6th Street. Melton struck on of the group, identified as 26 year old Timothy McKenna of Quincy.
Both Melton and McKenna suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment.
McKenna was cited for Intoxicated Pedestrian Use of the Roadway and released pending a court appearance.
