Quincy History Teacher Running for Congress

A Quincy High School history teacher is running for the U.S. House.

Rob Mellon says he'll run in the Democratic primary for Illinois' 18th District. Republican U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock currently represents the district. The 42-year-old Mellon graduated from Quincy University.

Mellon says in a news release that he is "frustrated with political privilege and corruption."

The Quincy Herald-Whigreports Mellon previously ran for Congress in 2006.
