Police Say Two People Attacked in Collinsville After Replying to Craigslist Ad
Police in Collinsville, Illinois are investigating the separate attacks of two people who were responding to a Craigslist advertisement about a television set.
The Belleville News-Democrat reports that a person replying to the ad at an apartment Sunday found the residence vacant. Police say he was hit in the back with a baseball bat but managed to flee.
That victim was treated at the scene.
Then on Tuesday, police say another person inquiring about the ad was hit on the head by a man in a black ski mask. That victim, left bleeding by the assault, refused medical attention.
Police say the apartment isn't leased to anyone.
