Police Officers Lose Jobs, But No One Tells Them
Police officers in the little St. Louis County community of Uplands Park have been shocked to find out they don't have a police department to work for any more.
Officers showing up for work yesterday didn't even have cars. They'd been towed away. Village trustees had voted to turn over patrolling of the community of about 450 people to the St. Louis County police department. But nobody had told officers showing up for work yesterday when the transfer would take place.
